Did you know ?  Lee was the first company to come up with the idea of working clothes being considered like particular clothing that could be worn on top of day to day clothes in order to protect them. The term 'overall' used then, means to wear 'over- all'. Thus, around 1915 Lee creates 'the union -all' by sewing together a denim jacket and denim trousers, the beginning then of dungarees and work suits. During the First World War, the army was a big consumer of these type of clothing. Despite being copied by competitors, Lee will remain creative and by far the leader in the field. The first national advertising campaign featuring denim work clothes will be launched by Lee.
