Did you know ?  In 1924, Lee launches its Lee Riders jeans range aimed at sailors, loggers, cowboys and others, using for the first time a 13 ounce denim cloth, while his rival Levi Strauss mainly uses a 10 ounce cloth. However he will copy from his rival, the rivet concept to reinforce stitches, or the leather patch/label at the back of its styles. In 1926, Lee introduced zippers (zip fly) on the style 101Z (originally named 1010). Lee will mainly sell its production on the East Coast and in the Middle West, whereas Levis will mainly be supplying the West Coast.
