Did you know ?
Being an international company, we tend to forget that Guess? Inc. is actually French. Indeed, it's in Marseille in the 70's that the Marciano's brothers, Georges, Paul, Maurice and Armand decided to manufacture and sell 'ready to wear' clothes through seasonal stores. It is a complete success but the need to expand pushes the brothers to move to the United States. That is where they will successfully launch their jeans collection which is seen as being sensual and innovative while the denim market was dated. We are then in 1981 and the Guess empire has just started.
